After Going Down the Mountain, I Proved Everyone Wrong
After Going Down the Mountain, I Proved Everyone Wrong Plot:
Wang Erma was the notorious 'lazy bum' of Xinghua Village—sleeping until noon, stealing neighbors' eggs, even the village secretary scolded him on the radio: 'Wang Erma, if you don't change your rotten habits, I'll kick you out of the village!' Three years ago, he followed an old Chinese doctor into the mountains, and everyone laughed: 'A lazy bum learning Chinese medicine? That's like pigs climbing trees!' But this autumn, Erma came down the mountain with a medicine chest and a hare: not only did he give free pulse checks to the village elders, but he also led everyone to grow herbs and raise mountain chickens. His mother, who once threw his bowl on the ground in anger, held the chicken soup he brewed, tears streaming down her face: 'My son has finally grown up.' The village secretary, who once cursed him as 'lazy to death,' held the wild eggs Erma gave him, a sheepish smile on his face: 'I was wrong about you.' Yet the tear-stained letter hidden in Erma's medicine chest, and the way he stared blankly at the mountain path every night, hinted at untold secrets—why did the old doctor die so suddenly? Why did Erma follow him into the mountains three years ago? And beyond helping the village get rich, what other purpose brought him back?
