One Misstep

One Misstep Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a fresh graduate accountant, is lured by her boss to falsify a client's financial statements to raise money for her mother's surgery. She thinks it's a 'temporary fix,' but gets entangled in a listed company's fraud case—her boss disappears, the police come knocking, and the surgery fee turns out to be from illegal proceeds. Standing at the police station entrance, an anonymous text pops up on her phone: 'You still have one chance to correct your mistake.' Is it a trap or redemption? Every step she takes becomes a gamble with fate.
