Lin Xiaoman, a poor student, accidentally awakens the ability to create "3000 clones"—each shadow can become an independent "her"—to raise money for her sister's heart surgery. She sends clones to work on assembly lines in factories across the city, but the clones have their own ideas: some slack off to draw comics, some fall in love with female workers, and one even sells factory scrap as crafts, nearly exposing her power!
