The Delayed Passage Plot:

On the fifth anniversary of her mother's death, Lin Xiaoman, a lonely dweller, stumbles upon a 'time passage' in her old attic that links to five years prior—through the rusted door, she sees her still-living mother simmering her favorite red date congee. But each time she opens the passage, her real-world memories fade a little: first forgetting a colleague's name, then losing her way home. When her mother in the passage finally calls out 'Xiaoman', she clutches the unopened graduation gift her mother gave her five years ago, and suddenly understands: this delayed passage is her mother's hidden 'last goodbye' after five years.
