The Goddess Descends for Me
The Goddess Descends for Me Plot:
Chu He, the goddess of frost and snow in the Heavenly Realm, defies heavenly rules to descend to the mortal world—driven by an obsession from a past life where she was saved by mortal general Gu Zhao. But in this life, Gu Zhao is a ragged Taoist priest guarding a dilapidated temple, who not only forgot their past bond but also distrusts this sudden “goddess.” To get close, Chu He learns to cook (and burn) porridge, mend (and tear) clothes, and even uses her divine power to block a fatal sword for him—each use costing her a piece of her soul. Just as Gu Zhao finally falls for her, heavenly enforcers arrive with a cruel choice: either Chu He returns to the heavens to suffer 10,000 years of ice imprisonment, or Gu Zhao’s soul is destroyed. Is this love, traded for her three lifetimes of immortality, a salvation… or a deeper doom?
