Our Long-Distance Promise
Our Long-Distance Promise Plot:
Lin Chuan and Su Wan were college sweethearts in a 1200-kilometer long-distance relationship. For two years, they built their love with late-night video calls and cross-city packages, and made a solemn promise: "Meet at the seaside lighthouse of our first date on graduation day to wait for the 4 AM sunrise together." But a week before graduation, Su Wan suddenly blocked all his contacts, leaving only three words—"I'm sorry"—on her Moments. Clutching a silver ring he'd saved half a year for, Lin Chuan took a 12-hour hard-seat train to the coast. There, he found Su Wan's scarf on the lighthouse and a notebook with photos of her bald from chemotherapy—"I have leukemia. I don't want you to see me without hair." Just as he broke down, a familiar laugh sounded behind: "I just left the transplant ward yesterday. The doctor said I can watch many sunrises with you." Su Wan had sneaked out, risking her recovery, to keep their "life-or-death promise."
