Midnight Dumpling Shop Plot:

Lin Shen is going crazy lately—his wife Su Xiaowan, who has been married to him for three years, has suddenly become a different person. She used to make ginger tea waiting for him to finish overtime, but now she doesn’t even look up when he comes home late. She used to hate staying up late, but now she leaves promptly at 10 PM every night and returns in the early morning, with an lingering smell of dumplings on her. He follows her secretly and finds her entering the "Midnight Dumpling Shop" at the alley—no one has ever dared to go in before. The boss is an old lady in a blue cotton shirt, and the dumplings she makes emit pale blue smoke. Su Xiaowan sits in the corner, and the tears she sheds while eating dumplings are the grievance Lin Shen has never seen. When Lin Shen tries the "memory dumpling" the old lady hands him, he suddenly sees: three years ago, Su Xiaowan stood in front of the dumpling shop, holding a diagnosis and crying, "I’m afraid he’ll be sad if he knows I have stomach cancer"... It turns out that his wife’s "change" is a secret she has hidden for three years, and what’s being cooked in the dumpling shop is never dumplings—it’s the unspoken love and fear.
