Pear Blossoms Fall, Day and Night Plot:

Lin Wanwan falls into a coma after a car accident on the Pear Blossom Festival. When she wakes up, she’s trapped in a time loop of April 5th—every morning, she reunites with Gu Zhao, her ex-boyfriend missing for three years, under the pear tree at the alley. He holds a warm pear blossom cake and smiles, “Wanwan, want osmanthus honey today?”, just like every morning before their breakup. But every dusk, Gu Zhao suddenly vanishes in the falling pear blossoms. Wanwan searches her phone and asks all old friends, only to find no one remembers “Gu Zhao” at all. On the 27th loop, she finally finds a cancer diagnosis in Gu Zhao’s old notebook—turns out three years ago, he didn’t want to leave; he was afraid she’d cry and beg him to stay. This loop, woven with obsession, was never a “reunion”—it’s his “goodbye practice” for her: he wants her to learn that even without him, she can still smile and take the pear blossom cake in the morning.
