Spirit Detective (Mini-Series) Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a female spirit detective born with the ability to communicate with the dead, is labeled a "monster" due to her power and makes a living by fulfilling spirits' wishes. Until she stumbles upon the murder scene of forensic scientist Chen Mo—Chen Mo was a key investigator of a serial disappearance case, but his soul is trapped on earth because of "unfinished business". Worse, the killer's next target is Xiaoman's only family: her younger sister! To protect her sister, Xiaoman is forced to team up with the sarcastic and stubborn Chen Mo. Together, they help spirits resolve their regrets (finding a missing grandchild for an elderly man, retrieving a wrongfully stolen thesis for a wronged female student) while chasing the truth of the serial case. As they go from mutual dislike to growing dependence, the truth about Chen Mo's death becomes more terrifying—the killer is his longtime friend, whose goal is to use the "spirit detective's blood" to resurrect his dead daughter! When her sister is kidnapped and Chen Mo's soul is about to dissipate, Xiaoman must make a life-or-death choice between family and love.
