Hero Never Fades Plot:

Retired firefighter Zhou Jianguo spends every day gazing at his old fire uniform, while his grandson Xiaoyu thinks he’s “too old to keep up with the times.” Until a sudden fire erupts in the neighborhood’s old building, trapping Xiaoyu and his classmates on the third-floor balcony. Zhou, who can’t use a smartphone to call for help, relies on the fire safety rhymes he memorized years ago: smashing the security net, weaving an escape rope from wet sheets, even climbing the water pipe barehanded to get into the fire. When he finally shields Xiaoyu in his arms, the boy cries out, “Grandpa is the greatest hero I’ve ever seen!” Turns out, heroes never “expire”—the courage etched into their bones has long become the brightest light in their lives.
