Beyond the Clouds' End Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, an ancient book restorer, accidentally receives a thread-bound book with half an old boat ticket inside. The words "Beyond the Clouds' End" on the ticket stub are in Gu Shen's handwriting—her senior who vanished five years ago. Back then, Gu Shen went alone to the legendary "island that revives the dying" to find a miracle cure for her eye disease, and never returned. Now that Xiaoman's eyes are healed, she boards the island with the half ticket, only to hear the elderly say, "That young man with silver-rimmed glasses waits for a girl at the pier every year on this day." When she finds the seaside cabin, the curtain lifts—she sees the man in the rattan chair rubbing the other half of the ticket with ink-stained fingers. He never left; he'd trapped himself in the promise: "Wait until she sees the world."
