Homecoming Romance Plot:

Lin Xiaoman returns to the water town she left ten years ago to handle her grandmother's old house. As soon as she enters the village, she runs into Zhou Ye—once the "wild monkey" who followed her everywhere as a kid—now a muscular, rough-looking veterinarian covered in pig manure, holding a pig stick. That night, a heavy rain collapses the old house's fence. Zhou Ye comes to repair it, and they huddle under the leaky eave. Lin Xiaoman accidentally finds her grandmother's old diary, which has a photo of Zhou Ye's grandfather when he was young—revealing that the two elders once had unspoken feelings. When Zhou Ye's palm accidentally brushes her wrist, Lin Xiaoman suddenly can't tell if it's her grandmother's regret playing tricks, or her own heart really fluttering.
