Bamboo Heart Lost in the Moonlit Fog Plot:

Zhu Xin, a young embroideress, fell in love with A Gui, a fisherman. They pledged their love with a handkerchief embroidered with bamboo branches, vowing to marry once A Gui saved enough for the betrothal gift. Three years ago, A Gui disappeared in a typhoon at sea. Zhu Xin waited by the shore every day, clutching the handkerchief. Until she found A Gui’s bamboo flute in a rich merchant’s mansion—he’d been rescued but lost his memory, and the merchant was forcing him to marry his daughter. Zhu Xin rushed to the mansion at night, only to be thrown out as a “madwoman.” That evening, sea fog enveloped the coast, and the slanting moon hid behind clouds. Sitting on the rock where she’d bid A Gui farewell, Zhu Xin heard a familiar voice: “Miss, that handkerchief… I think I’ve seen it before?”
