Because of a Bowl of Stomach-Nourishing Congee, He Said He'd Divorce to Marry Her
Because of a Bowl of Stomach-Nourishing Congee, He Said He'd Divorce to Marry Her Plot:
Gu Tingshen is the "Iron-Faced CEO" feared in the business world, trapped in a loveless marriage due to a commercial alliance, with a stomach illness as his secret pain hidden under his suit. Until that early morning, he drank the ginger-jujube stomach-nourishing congee cooked by Su Wan at the small porridge shop downstairs from his company—the warm steam with ginger fragrance was exactly like his late mother's cooking, making his eyes tear up. Su Wan, a culinary student working part-time to pay her brother's tuition, always serves the thickest congee to overtime workers. When Gu Tingshen stood in front of the porridge shop with a divorce agreement and said, "The one I want to marry is you who cooks congee into my heart," his wife's smears and family opposition followed. But he insisted on bringing this "sincerity in the congee" into the sunlight: accompanying Su Wan at the porridge shop every day, holding her hand publicly at the press conference, and even turning the company cafeteria into "Wanwan's Congee House"—turns out the sweetest favor is someone carving your warmth into every warm bite of life.
