Hot Wind Kisses the Rose Plot:

Lin Shen, a socially anxious ancient book restorer, guards his grandfather's old bookstore. Every summer, the hot wind blows the scent of roses from the next-door flower shop—that's Xu Wan's "little offensive": she slips a dewy rose onto his desk daily, laughing, "Add some life to the old books." But when Lin finally tries to respond with a note, Xu suddenly disappears. Not until he finds his grandfather's diary does he learn Xu is the daughter of the homeless mother and daughter his grandfather helped a decade ago, back to fulfill her late mother's wish: "Make that boy hiding in the books learn to love." Lin rushes to the station with the diary, and the familiar rose scent drifts in the hot wind—Xu, holding a cancer diagnosis, is about to board the plane when she sees him holding a crumpled rose shouting, "I don't want to miss again. This time, let me add life to you."
