Spring Returns, Year After Year Plot:

For five consecutive years, Lin Xiaoman meets Gu Zhao, who wears a cyan shirt, on the Spring Equinox. He always buys magnolia flowers at the old alley, saying, “This flower reminds me of an old friend,” but he never recognizes Xiaoman. This year, Xiaoman discovers Gu Zhao is trapped in the spring of 2018—he had an accident saving her from drowning that year, and his consciousness has been stuck in the week before the incident. When the sixth spring comes, holding the magnolia pendant Gu Zhao gave her back then, Xiaoman decides to break into his time loop. She wants to tell him, “I’m the one you’ve been waiting for,” and do everything to “pull him back” from the eternal spring.
