Silk Red Rose

Silk Red Rose Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, an old object restorer, has a suit-clad customer named Cheng Mo in her shop. He's looking for a "silk red rose"—his grandmother's un_sent token of love, which was burned to ashes in a fire forty years ago. But when Xiaoman digs out her late grandmother's old wooden box, she finds a silk red rose with familiar stitches, and a yellowed note in the petals: "Ah Ju, wait for me to return from Nanyang, I'll marry you." Surprisingly, Cheng Mo's grandfather is exactly "Ah Zhao"—the two separated by war, one waiting a lifetime with the rose, the other searching a lifetime with regret. When Xiaoman hands the rose to the grandfather, he trembles as he touches the petals and cries: "This is Ah Ju's work… she always sewed threads so tightly…" It turns out the grandmother念叨 returning the rose to Ah Zhao until her death. A silk red rose finally connects the unfulfilled wishes of two generations.
