Let the Night Dye the Spring Branches
Landscape designer Su Wan stayed up late under the century-old spring branch tree in her grandma's old courtyard, revising the protection plan to save the tree, when she ran into Lu Shiyan, the investor here to survey the acquisition site. They fought fiercely over “cutting the tree” until Su Wan dropped an old photo—her childhood self with her grandma under the tree. Lu Shiyan froze: that’s the “Zhouzhou” who gave him hot porridge when he got lost here ten years ago, saying “the spring branch tree will lead you home”. Turns out Lu Shiyan bought the courtyard to find “Zhouzhou”, while Su Wan was guarding not just the tree, but her grandma’s last legacy. As night creeps over the branches, the childhood note hidden in the tree hole, and the unsaid “I’ve been looking for you for ten years”, are finally about to unfold under the moonlight—the softest truth of all…
