The Moon Brings You to Me Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, an ancient book restorer, struggles with self-doubt amid industry competition. One night, while repairing a Song Dynasty fragment *Moonlit Melody*, the full moon suddenly “sends” Gu Zhao, a qin player from the book—he stands in a moon-white robe, holding a qin, claiming to be “an unfinished promise delivered by the moon.” Xiaoman helps Gu adapt to modern life (teaching him to scan health codes, eat taro balls in milk tea) while his qin music reignites her passion for ancient books. But as the moon wanes, Gu’s fingers start to fade—turns out he’s the author’s “unfinished regret,” and only when the “regret” in the story is understood can he stay. When Xiaoman finally pieces together the last line of the fragment: “May the moon be my letter, to keep the promise of a thousand years,” how will she hold onto this “moon that walked out of the book”?
