The Deer God Drum

The Deer God Drum Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, an antique restorer, returns to her hometown ancient village to find the "Deer God Drum"—a legendary artifact said to awaken one's most precious memories—fulfilling her grandmother's last wish. When she locates the drum in the old ancestral hall, she encounters A Lu, a mysterious boy who claims to be the "drum guardian." To her shock, A Lu can see Xiaoman's childhood memories with her grandma (when she was three) from the drum's cracks. But as Xiaoman repairs the drum, A Lu's figure grows increasingly transparent—he's actually a wisp of the Deer God's soul, guarding the drum for 300 years, waiting for someone who can "hear the drum's heart." Now, the drum's strange sound attracts merchants who want to steal it for money. Xiaoman must choose between protecting the drum, keeping A Lu, and uncovering the secret of why her grandma gave up being the drum guardian. What the drum hides is an unfulfilled promise spanning a century between two generations and the Deer God.
