Lin Xiaoman's mother suddenly fell into a critical coma. Desperate, she received a mysterious text and found "The Underworld Pawnshop" deep in an old alley. The owner, A Jiu, in a black robe twirling a copper bell, said: "To save your mom, trade your most precious possession." Xiaoman tearfully gave up the memory of her last moment with her missing father—the day she turned 10, when he held her to buy a sugar figurine at the alley entrance. Her mom woke up, but Xiaoman soon realized she’d forgotten her dad’s face. Strange "customers" started appearing: a woman in a red dress searching for her lost voice, a bespectacled boy looking for his stolen courage—all from the pawnshop. To her horror, in an ancient mirror A Jiu handed her, Xiaoman saw her dad’s face. It turned out her father had pawned his soul to A Jiu years ago to save her from drowning. And this time, what A Jiu wants is Xiaoman’s "original heart."
