Back to Where Love Began
Back to Where Love Began Plot:
When Su Wan was preparing for her "Unfinished Stories in Old Things" exhibition, she received an anonymous vintage pocket watch—the token of love from her college boyfriend Gu Zhao. Inside was a yellowed note: "Wanwan, my mom has sudden uremia. I have to raise surgery fees. Wait for me, don't hate me." Three years ago, Gu Zhao disappeared abruptly, and Su Wan thought he had cheated. Until now, she learns the truth. Following the express delivery slip to Gu Zhao's rental house, she pushes the door open and sees him feeding porridge to his mother in a wheelchair. His astonishment and panic when he turns around are exactly like the big boy who nervously confessed with the pocket watch on campus. On the opening day of the exhibition, Gu Zhao appears with his mother. Amid the ticking of the pocket watch, Su Wan holds the exhibition board and asks: "Can we say the unspoken 'I'll wait for you' three years ago, again?"
