Pretending Strangers, Secret Lovers

Pretending Strangers, Secret Lovers Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a new employee at an ad agency, and Lu Jingshen, the “ice-cold director”, are distant superiors and subordinates in public—he criticizes her plan as “too emotional” in meetings, she only dares to mumble “Good morning, Director Lu” when they meet in the pantry. But behind closed doors of their rental apartment, they’re a cohabiting couple fighting over fried chicken and ironing each other’s suits. Until a new female executive arrives, openly pursuing Lu. Xiaoman catches them “discussing work” late at night, and Lu suddenly suggests “taking a break”. Is the distance in public freezing their private love, or is he hiding a surprise to go public?
