Don't Fear, My Lady—The Shadow Puppet General Is Here to Protect You
Don't Fear, My Lady—The Shadow Puppet General Is Here to Protect You Plot:
Shen Zhaozhao, the real daughter of the Prime Minister's Mansion, was swapped at birth by the birth mother of the fake daughter and became a "shadow puppet girl" performing on the streets. By chance, she saved Gu Yuan, the War King cursed with the "Shadow Puppet Curse"—a curse that traps him in a shadow puppet form only at night, and only Zhaozhao's presence can ease it. To repay her kindness and fulfill the longing from the shadow puppet lamp Zhaozhao gave him years ago, Gu Yuan silently guards her as the "Shadow Puppet General": he exposes the fake daughter's poisoning scheme, helps her reclaim her rightful place as the Prime Minister's heir, and even uses a shadow puppet formation to defeat enemy troops. When Zhaozhao thinks she's merely being protected by a benefactor, she discovers that this "shadow man" who always appears at night has long given his heart to her—turns out the shadow puppet lamp she gave him years ago was the faith that kept Gu Yuan alive in the enemy camp for three years. From a street performer to the legitimate daughter of the Prime Minister's Mansion, from "being protected" to "mutual devotion", this sweet counterattack wrapped in shadow puppets hides the most touching "destiny".
