Restorer Lin Xia and archaeology team leader Gu Yan fall in love while restoring a Tang Dynasty mural, their affection growing as they piece together the fragmented artwork. But on the night they commit to each other, fate tears them apart—Gu Yan is sent on an emergency desert mission to rescue missing team members, and Lin Xia is diagnosed with a genetic eye disease that will gradually take her sight.
