Village Chaos

Village Chaos Plot:

Fresh graduate Lin Xiaoman, a village official, volunteers to return to her hometown in southern Henan as the "first secretary" to revitalize the village's abandoned century-old tea plantation. But she's immediately caught in three messes upon arrival: the old village chief dies suddenly, and his children are fighting over the "inheritance" to the point of litigation; a "female ghost's cry" echoes in the tea plantation at night, scaring all workers away; most painfully, Zhou Ming, her childhood sweetheart she's loved for ten years, actually brings developers to "buy the plantation at a low price"! It turns out Zhou Ming's "acquisition plan" hides the old chief's "death secret": the chief was threatened for refusing to sell the land to developers (afraid of destroying the plantation's roots), and the "ghost" is actually the chief's daughter pretending to protect the plantation. Lin Xiaoman must expose the profit scam, awaken the villagers' desire to guard their "roots," and choose between "old love" and "original intention"—is Zhou Ming blinded by money, or does he have no choice?
