Misbehaving Dog, Unspoken Love Plot:

Thirty-year-old programmer Lin Xiaochuan is forced to take in his late father’s five-year-old border collie "Lao Fu" after his dad’s sudden death. But the dog is more unruly than a teenager—smashing his limited-edition figurines, tearing a hole in his blind date’s dress, and even running away with the delivery truck three times. Just as he breaks down over the mess, he finds his dad’s old diary: "Taught Lao Fu to carry Xiaochuan’s takeout—he always forgets to eat; taught it to wait on the balcony so Xiaochuan sees 'family' when opening the door; deliberately didn’t teach 'obedience'—otherwise, how would it dare to cling to Xiaochuan after I’m gone?" All the "bad habits" are actually "love aftereffects" his dad left for the lonely him over ten years. Lin Xiaochuan cries while holding Lao Fu (who’s gnawing his sleeve)—his dad never wanted to "train the dog"; he just wanted it to keep "accompanying" Xiaochuan in his place.
