Oranges Never Lie Plot:

Food inspector Lin Xiaoman is assigned to expose the “sweet scam” of the viral “Sincere Orange Orchard”—rumored to have oranges that taste like “the sweetness of being truly cared for.” Going undercover, she’s stunned to find the orchard owner Jiang Ye is her high school deskmate, whom she once falsely accused of theft. Jiang Ye doesn’t reveal her identity; instead, he shows her the soul of orange-growing—watching blossoms at dawn, guarding trees from frost—and pulls out a decade-old letter: “I planted these oranges to prove sincerity always tastes sweet enough to squeeze juice from.” Just as Xiaoman wavers, an anonymous tip claims the orchard uses illegal sweeteners. She must choose between her job and unspoken feelings—this time, will she trust that oranges never lie?
