The Old Fog Lingers, The One Has Gone Plot:

The fog over the seaside old villa hasn't lifted since Grandpa's death. While sorting his things, Lin Wu finds a sea-scented diary—Grandpa's former lover Su Yuan didn't die in the shipwreck? "The old fog lingers" is what Grandpa wrote on the last page, followed by a line of blood: "I lied to her, and to myself." It turns out Grandpa forged Su Yuan's death certificate to save her, taking the blame for "abandoning her" alone. Su Yuan was washed ashore with amnesia and ended up in a local nursing home. Now Su Yuan can't even remember her name, but she always stares at the sea and says, "Someone is waiting for me in the fog." When Lin Wu holds the jade hairpin Grandpa gave Su Yuan years ago and stands before her, the old woman suddenly grabs her hand: "Xiao Yuan, you finally came?" The old fog rolls in with the sound of waves from years ago—those who left have actually been waiting for each other in the fog all along.
