Provoking the Bodhi Plot:

Shen Wantang, the notorious hell-raiser of the capital, hides in Qingdeng Temple to escape a forced marriage—only to fix her eyes on Ji Wu, the icy-cold monk who won’t even step on falling flowers. She smears his robe with osmanthus cake, ties red string to his prayer beads, and even fills his meditation room with peach blossoms. But when she reaches for his relic pendant, Ji Wu’s hand in his sleeve suddenly tightens—it’s the glass marble she gave the little monk who saved her ten years ago! The “living Bodhisattva” she’s teasing is the boy she forgot, and his ten years of asceticism crumble at her words: “Ji Wu, your heart is beating so fast.” Just as Shen’s father blocks the temple gate, Ji Wu’s master pulls out a bloodstained letter: “You’re the last heir of the Zhenguo Marquis—you must avenge your family.” Between the girl dragging him into the mortal world and the blood feud calling him back, his Bodhi heart finally cracks under her touch.
