Return of the Hostage: Revenge of Feigned Insanity
Return of the Hostage: Revenge of Feigned Insanity Plot:
Chu Zhao, a hostage of Dajing Kingdom, was imprisoned in the enemy state Beiqi for ten years, enduring whipping and humiliation. The only thing keeping him alive was his elder brother Chu Heng's promise: "Wait for your return." But on his homecoming day, he caught Chu Heng embracing his fiancée, sneering, "This fool's return is perfect—he can take the hidden arrows for me." Chu Zhao hid his killing intent behind foolishness, feigning insanity: smashing the emperor's jade cup, singing Beiqi folk songs in court, and snatching a maid's rock candy gourd with sugar all over his face. Everyone believed he was mad, except Chu Heng, who occasionally saw the "fool" in the corner late at night, wiping the broken sword (stabbed into his chest by the Beiqi crown prince) with bloodstained fingers. When Chu Heng's throne shook due to a corruption scandal and the court questioned the "mad hostage's" oddities, Chu Zhao's revenge blade, hidden under feigned insanity, was finally ready to strike the cold-blooded elder brother...
