Shedding the Scales
Shedding the Scales Plot:
Lin Shen, an aquarium diver, harbors a secret—a pale blue scale-like birthmark on her lower back burns when touched by water. Until mysterious visitor Gu Chuan appears: his fingertips brushing the birthmark turns pain into warmth. Gu Chuan is from the Deep Sea Tribe, sent to retrieve "unscaled returnees"—Lin Shen’s birthmark is an unawakened tribal seal. Shedding it means forgetting human memories and returning to the deep sea. Torn between her autistic nephew who sees her as light, and the heartbeat of finding a "kindred spirit," Lin Shen stands at a crossroads. Gu Chuan faces his own dilemma: fulfill his mission, or keep the "human Lin Shen" who learned to make rainbow candies for her nephew? When the deep sea’s call collides with human warmth, their choice holds an answer brighter than scale glow.
