I Told You to Enlighten, Not to Take Off!
I Told You to Enlighten, Not to Take Off! Plot:
Lin Xiaoman, an office worker who fainted from overtime, wakes up bound to the "Ultimate Enlightenment System" — expecting to become a powerful immortal, but instead gets tasks like retrieving a stolen speaker for square dance aunties, making cat food with three egg yolks for strays, and writing a love letter for a neighbor grandpa! To make it worse, the system sends Gu Yan, a sarcastic and stunningly handsome "practice supervisor," who teases her daily: "You fall into flower beds while feeding cats — enlightenment’s turning into 'falling enlightenment' for you." But when she uses the Calm Mind Spell to help a colleague stop hair loss, only to blow up her own bangs, Gu Yan secretly buys her hair serum; when she’s almost hurt by a Tai Chi sword, Gu Yan catches it in a flash, still pretending: "I just don’t want to find a new host if you die." Just as Lin Xiaoman complains, "This is just being a urban do-gooder!", Gu Yan’s identity is revealed — he’s an ancient immortal lord, exiled to join her "down-to-earth practice" because he didn’t understand humanity. From bickering to sweet affection, Lin Xiaoman finally realizes: true "enlightenment" is love and companionship in the hustle and bustle of life.
