Start Over Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, 30, spent a decade fighting in Shanghai only to face three crushing blows: business failure, boyfriend's infidelity, and her mother's critical illness. Desperate, she returns to her hometown county and reunites with Chen Mo—her childhood sweetheart she once rejected—who now struggles to save a dying community restaurant. To raise money for her mother's surgery, Lin has to let go of her “urban elite” pride and work as a dishwasher and soup cook. Amid the daily bustle, she finds hidden warmth: Chen Mo's love letters kept for ten years, neighbors' hot dumplings, and her mother's secret voice message: “I just want you to be happy.” She thought “starting over” meant erasing the past, but it turns out to be rediscovering the simple joys and true heart she'd lost.
