In the misty riverside town of Jiangnan, Lin Wan tends her family’s ancestral ferry, bound by two unyielding rules: only ferry ordinary villagers, and never carry the wealthy, powerful or those who have betrayed others. Ten years ago, her wealthy father abandoned her and her ailing mother to build a new life elsewhere.
