For the Public Good
For the Public Good Plot:
When Lin Ming, a young street administrator, renovates his old house, he accidentally discovers the plaque of “The world is for all” cherished by his grandfather—a rural teacher in the Republic of China era who advocated “for the public good” all his life. Facing the utilitarian workplace atmosphere after taking office, with colleagues pursuing promotion shortcuts and residents misunderstanding community work, he always takes his grandfather's last words as a guideline. He refuses to favor developers, mediates the demolition dispute with all his might, and builds a community mutual-aid platform to help the elderly. Eventually, he resolves conflicts among all parties and rekindles the ancient concept in contemporary life with his actions.
