Lin Xiaochuan, a 168cm programmer, has been single for 28 years—so ordinary that he’s “invisible” at work. Until Su Xiaotang, the company’s “goddess” from the marketing department, suddenly gets close: bringing warm taro buns every day, staying up late with him to fix bugs, even fending off drinks for him at parties. Colleagues mock him for “daydreaming about a swan,” and he’s terrified it’s a prank—after all, Su is 172cm tall, a top 3 sales performer, and the most eye-catching person in the office. But when he finds the “maintenance sticky note” (he wrote “Don’t overheat your laptop” when fixing her computer) that Su secretly keeps, when he becomes a tech team leader thanks to his viral project, when Su says with red eyes, “I fell for you when you tested the hot cocoa’s temperature before handing it to me,” he realizes: Ordinariness is never a barrier to love—fear of believing it is. The two “mismatched” people finally hold hands amid gossip, proving that “ordinary people deserve passionate love too.”
