Enlightenment in the Mountains Plot:

High-flying financier Lin Che seeks solace by volunteering at remote Dayan Village, armed with polished lesson plans and imported textbooks. His world collides with students gnawing frozen potatoes in a drafty classroom. During a snowstorm home visit, he discovers prodigy Wang Mancang solving calculus equations on a mud wall with charcoal—while Mancang's father plans to pull him from school over tutoring fees. As urban ideals of 'early advantage' clash with primal hunger for knowledge, Lin Che shreds his PowerPoint, teaching pi through cricket sounds around a bonfire. When education inspectors uncover his hidden test-prep books, a subversive awakening about the true essence of learning erupts amidst the howling blizzard.
