First Encounter

First Encounter Plot:

Socially awkward illustrator Lin Xia runs into newly transferred detective Zhou Yan at a secondhand bookstore, and they get off on the wrong foot fighting over a rare detective novel. They keep bumping into each other unexpectedly: helping him gather scattered case files on a rainy night, spotting him helping an elderly woman at a convenience store, and even catching him subdue a thief during a late overtime shift. At first they can’t stand each other, but gradually let their guards down. Yet the old case Zhou Yan is investigating ties to a ten-year-old childhood secret hidden in Lin Xia’s sketchbooks. This fate starting with their first encounter is about to unveil a ten-year-long mutual bond.
